Monroeville Asylum

Monroeville Asylum was established in order to contain some of the more dangerous children and adults that showed their talent with special abilities. The building itself is two stories with grounds that are really quite deceiving. With spacious grounds, soft green grass, and tall willow trees, it seems like a beautiful place. Surrounding the grounds are iron gates that are designed to keep patients inside.

Those patients that have proven themselves capable are permitted to leave the grounds in group outings, with an ability blocker on standby. Visits into town happen once a week, generally on a Tuesday or Thursday. Good behavior and control are required to maintain permission to join these visits. For every two patients, there is one with the ability to block their powers.

On the first floor you will find all of the offices, group therapy rooms, and the recreation hall. This is where the patients come to learn how to get a better grasp of control on the abilities that landed them at the asylum in the first place.

On the second floor you will find the library, the showers, and the patient rooms. While the patients spend much of their time on the first floor, the second floor is where they are contained if they begin to have a fit of some kind. Each patient's room is tailored to their specific needs and ensures that they cannot harm themselves.

A well known secret of Monroeville is that the lock on the roof is broken. Patients are free to sneak up to the roof and enjoy the view of the grounds. The roof is checked daily to ensure the safety of the patients.

It should also be noted that Monroeville is constantly equipped with humans that have the ability to block the abilities of the patients for safety and to ensure that order is maintained.
